Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,

Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,

Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,

One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,

One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

– J.R.R. Tolkien

Sometimes I feel like Frodo on my way to Mordor on some epic quest to destroy the power of evil and save the world. I feel small and inadequate, yet a task has been given to me.

We have all been given a task.

For most of us, we have not been called into the Land of Shadow to destroy the Ring of Power. Yet, we have all been given a purpose in life — a task. For me, my task is to tell the world about the grace of Jesus Christ. This blog is just one pathway of doing so — through story.

There is just something about a good story. Whether itโ€™s a good book or a fun movie, we as human beings love stories. They move us, shape us, and even teach us. It is my hope, goal, and prayer to offer you, the reader, stories that will make you think and grow while at the same time be entertained.

As a young author, I hope to share my stories with the world. This blog is where I will publish my short stories, promote my books, and just share my thoughts from my journey in the lands of shadow of this world.

As far as who I am, I was born and raised in California’s central valley and have enjoyed reading and writing my entire life. From a very young age, I have had the desire to write books; yet, my primary calling in life is ministry. I am currently the Senior Pastor at Vale Church of the Nazarene in Eastern Oregon. Still, my passion for writing continues and I hope to use the stories I tell to bring hope to a world that often seems quite hopeless. I currently have one book published for Kindle on Amazon entitledย Beggars.
